The first educational cycles of the project “Growing Up Safely: The Power of Stories and Narratives in Protecting Children” took place in Athens (13–14 June) and Kavala (20–21 June), as part of the collaboration between Home Start Hellas and Storymentor.
In each cycle, educators, child-care professionals, and university students from related fields took part in 10 hours of experiential training. The activities focused on using storytelling and social narratives to:
- Prevent violent behavior by cultivating empathy and respect
- Foster deeper emotional understanding
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere and strengthen group cohesion
These training sessions laid solid foundations for building school communities where every child feels safe, accepted, and emotionally connected.
